Particles Modeling

When particles are present in a system, it is very important to predict their behavior, such as trajectory, residence time, drop out, velocity, evaporation etc. These properties depend on the shape, size and distribution of the particle system. Either solid or liquid, they can be easily modeled by CFD. Evaporation of water in a scrubber, ash deposition in an economizer hopper or LPA screen, coal distribution inside a burner are great examples.
